The Maine-ly Dolls Club was founded in 1985 as a social and educational group to share, promote, and provide doll-related activities and opportunities for members, community, other doll lovers and doll collectors in the area. MDC is a non profit organization and a member of The United Federation of Doll Clubs (UFDC).
Ginny is the club doll. Ginny, an 8″ doll, created in 1948 by Vogue Doll Company Founder Jennie Graves and named for her daughter Virginia “Ginny” Graves, is a popular doll among collectors. To learn more about Ginny’s History click here http://www.voguedolls.com/html/history.html

2007 Hard Plastic Vintage Look Ginny's with open/close eyes. These Ginny's were designed to replicate the original 1950's Ginny. Each wearing hand made clothes.
Three 1970's Sassoon Ginny's wearing hand made dresses. Designed to have a more 'modern' look these Ginny's did not become a favorite of many collectors. I think they are adorable and worth having at least one of these girls in a Ginny doll collection, after all they are a part of Ginny's History. The doll on the right has open/close eyes, the other two have painted eyes.
